Intimacy

“It is the destiny of men and women to join together to make eternal family units. In the context of lawful marriage, the intimacy of sexual relations is right and divinely approved. There is nothing unholy or degrading about sexuality in itself, for by that means men and women join in a process of creation and in an expression of love”

Hello everyone! I bet from the quote you have a good idea of what I'm going to be writing about this week... That's right! It's intimacy! Intimacy is a very important part of marriage. Intimacy brings couples closer together and is a very special part of marriage.

Something I believe and the way I was raised was that sexual intimacy is something very sacred and beautiful, and should only happen in the bonds of marriage. I'm so grateful that my parents raised me this way, and taught me the importance of intimacy. Since I understood the importance of it, I never had to worry about being pregnant or having an STD. I never had to worry about getting my heart broken after having sexual relations with a boy. My parents did a wonderful job explaining the connection that happens when having an intimate sexual relation, and since the connection is so special it should be reserved for your spouse.

Sharing sexual intimacy with many people and connecting in that special way with them, takes away the sacredness and that special bonding that happens during sexual intercourse.

Male and female reproductive systems are very different, and I believe we were designed this way so that husbands and wives could communicate with one another their sexual needs, and how they need to find what is best for their relationship.

I don't want to just share my personal beliefs on this topic. I would like to show you some research and a few different articles on sexual intimacy.

Here's an article that goes over the difference between male and female sexuality.

The last topic I want to briefly go over today is fidelity. Marriage is a very sacred and important covenant, and since it is so beautiful and important we need to do everything possible to nurture and protect it.

Here are some wonderful articles that talk about the importance of complete fidelity in marriage, and how we can protect our marriage, and keep it our number one priority.
