Stress and the Family

Hello everyone! This week I want to talk about an interesting topic. It's stress! That's right, stress. Can stress really help us in our everyday lives? Or even in our families? Would it surprise you if the answer was yes? Stress is something that is necessary to have in our lives. It helps us push forward, and it helps us to handle problems and conflict when they arise. Without having any stress in our life, and one day we had a stressful situation block us, our minds and our bodies would shut down because we wouldn't know how to handle the situation since we've never experienced stress before. Without stress, we can't get through difficult life experiences, it is absolutely necessary.

On the other end of the spectrum, to much stress isn't good for anyone. When we have too much stress in our lives we can shut down, and we also might not know how to handle well. Too much stress can lead to other issues as well including some mental health issues, especially if we don't do anything to alleviate the stress.

This is where families play a role in handling stress. Families are a tremendous resource to have. They're people we can rely on, and people who can help us cope with the difficult and stressful situations we're dealing with. Families can give us advice, or they can just be a crying shoulder we can lean on. Whatever the case may be, our families have our back and we can rely on them.

Also, when a crisis arises in the family, it is important to lean on each other. This can help bring families closer together through trials. Even if the conflict is between family members in the family, it is vital to get through them together. Trials, in general, bring people closer together.

There is a quote that I really like that states "The trials of this life will ultimately lead to joy if we patiently trust in God’s plan and discover how to use adversity to grow stronger." I agree with this quote. When we understand that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us, I think it makes it easier to go through trials. It makes it easier because we know that these trials we face are for a reason, and for our own benefit to become stronger and better people in general.

In conclusion, when we have the perspective of why we're going through trials and difficult times it makes it easier to go through them. Also, when we have great resources around us, like our families we can get through the hard times and can cope with the stress better.

What do you guys think about stress? Is it a good or bad thing? Leave comments so we can discuss! Also, what do you guys think of families being resources to deal with stress in our lives? Can't wait to hear from you all!
